ACT Policing said the 44-year-old was charged with four offences after allegedly pointing a firearm at a 59-year-old man last week in the inner-north. The man, who police said was not injured, told ACT Policing officers he had shot at his neighbour's house after they had a fight and that the neighbour had received texts about his lost animal. The man was a witness to the alleged incident and was told to write down the licence plate of the car in which the man was travelling. He gave the details of the man's car to police. A search warrant was executed at the man's home on Tuesday after police discovered he had allegedly breached the strict gun laws of the ACT. "ACT Policing officers located the allegedly stolen firearm, a semi-automatic.22 calibre rifle, in the vehicle,'' a police spokesman said. "It is alleged the offender used the rifle to point it at the neighbour and fire one shot towards the neighbour's house.'' The neighbour did not suffer any injury as a result of the alleged incident and there was no shooting. The man was allegedly found to have a number of other weapons in his possession, including an air rifle and knife, and was charged with possessing and using prohibited weapons. He was also charged with pointing a firearm at another person, which was reported to ACT Policing. The man was refused bail and is due to appear at the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday. by CmdrTacoon Monday May 08, 2010 @11:31AM from the this-is-not-the-new-physics dept. itwbennett writes "The Washington Post is reporting that NASA's planned Moon missions could be delayed by several years if the Obama Administration decides to replace the space agency's flagship Ares A: The problem was related to the miro player. How to Tell if Someone is Being Used as a Pet There’s a reason dogs can’t talk. They can’t really say much of anything, and when they try, they end up saying something like, “why?” or “won’t do,” or “yes!” which is hardly worth the effort to be talked to at all. In the same way, you can often tell whether a person is getting used as a “pet” in a relationship, and you can actually do something about it. It’s not always easy, though, because it’s generally not the emotional abuser’s intention to hurt you. What they are doing is… Using You to Feel Like You’re Loved “When you talk to me, you make me feel like you really love me, and you’re thinking about me when you’re not with me.” “I feel less lonely when I think you’re thinking about me.” “When I’m with you, I feel loved.” All of these statements are true, and many people would like to hear this. To them, it’s a wonderful gift, and they’re grateful to have it. Using You to Feel like You’re Important “When you talk to me, you make me feel like I’m important to you, and you’re going to help me get my life back together.” “You’re not important to me, but I’m important to you.” “I don’t need you, but I need you.” These statements may seem harmless, but they are very different. These are the things they say when they’re trying to manipulate you, trying to get what they want. These are statements that are meant to manipulate you, to make you feel like you need them. Using You as a Substitute for Them “You’re important to me, but you’re not important enough 4bc0debe42
