The age of mythology titans crack torrent is a popular mythological tale that features as many as fourteen gods and goddesses. These deities are not all equal in power, but each has its own specific sphere of activity and domain. The list includes: Zeus, Hera, Athene, Hephasteus, Poseidon, Hermes, Aphrodite and others. Zeus is the almighty ruler of all the gods and the sky itself; he became king because other deities were afraid he might take over their domains too. Hera is his sister and wife; she traditionally keeps house for him on Olympus mountain - sometimes to spite her brother-in-law through jealousy or anger. Athene is Zeus' daughter and very strong, yet somewhat petite. She has a great love for wisdom and all forms of knowledge; she inspires poets and artists, and is the patron of Athens. Hephasteus is the god of metallurgy - he is also the chief smith of Olympus. Poseidon (or Neptune) is known as the Ruler of Seas; he holds dominion over all water bodies, including oceans and rivers. Hermes (or Mercury) carries messages between gods and humans. Aphrodite (or Venus) represents beauty; she rules over love, both human and divine. Finally, Hades represents death; his domain includes underworld - or rather Tartarus (the deepest place in the earth where poor souls are punished). The Titans are an order of mighty beings that ruled the world early in its history. The sons of Uranus (the sky), Cronos (time) and Gaea (earth); and their sisters and daughters, were: Hyperion (sun), Theia (moon), Helios (the sun god), Iapetus (primeval bull) and many others. They ruled during the early Golden Age; although, once associated with the gods who reigned at the end of the world, they later became distinguished as their own pantheon, which was eventually overthrown by Zeus. The Titans were giants and loved to fight and wage wars; their adversaries were the gods, who later captured and imprisoned them. The first woman ever to live on earth was Pandora, who was created by Hephaestus. The gods gave her many gifts, including a box which she was warned not to open. Eventually her curiosity got the better of her and she opened the box, unleashing troubles - including disease, hunger and death - upon humanity. In order to ease these plagues, Zeus sent Hermes with a 'pharmakon' (a remedy) that would bring relief. However, the box was opened by Prometheus, who also fell under Zeus' wrath. Prometheus later escaped to Earth, where he taught humans to use fire. Prometheus was punished by being bound to a rock where an eagle would peck out his liver every day. The punishment was to be repeated every year for eternity - until mankind begged Zeus to forgive him. This momentous event occurred during the Golden Age of Greece, which ended with the arrival of Zeus' parents - Cronus and Rhea. Cronus ate his siblings because he could not control their power; one way or another, Zeus won his father's approval and was rewarded with the throne at the very top of Mount Olympus (where all other gods live). cfa1e77820
